No problem with the Thick Head after all you did Buy a Fuel Pak ..... You got the measurements right... The turn sigs look better to me between the trees on the bottom... Or just above the lower tree.... I think Doug'sDyna has his upside down on the top tree maybe he can post a pic so you can see them...

Trotter..... do you still have the laser headlight adjustment tool? I may suggest 2007fxdc PM you and ask to borrow it. It may help end this thread.

I can get the dealer to fine tune my headlight aim next time I'm over there. I just need to get it close enough for road duty.
Sorry this thread is bugging you jmpan - I'll try to calm down.

Next year I am mounting them to my 1/2 helmet, since I think they don't look so good on the forks.

Okay I lied - can't wait for tomorrow. Well, I will have to wait for complete install but I got a little done/checked anyway. Looks like the stock mount, at least on my FXDC will work. Not a lot of room for aiming adjustment but it should be tolerable. The bracket on the light shell is thicker hardware though and so my stock through-bolt, washers, lockwasher, and nut won't work. I can barely get it on with 1 very thin washer and the nut and can only tighten the bolt about half way into the nut. So, tomorrow I'll get what I need to complete this.
I haven't done any wiring but I did unplug and remove the old light and mount the new one up and took some pix (below). Honest opinions - I can take it. I've learned to do what makes me happy and not worry so much about what others think.
Trotter, or anyone else, if you have any tips for properly aiming a headlight or at least getting it close, I'd appreciate you posting it.
Oh, and before anyone panics that I haven't removed my seat and strapped the bike down, I only have it jacked up far enough to hold it straight. It's easier to work on that way. Plenty of weight is still on the floor and it's sturdy enough to wait until tomorrow.

Question for you - is your light mounting to the stock mount or was a different mount used? I'm still not sure yet if I want to use the stock mount as shown in my pix or try to get the mount that came with the light installed. It shouldn't be a problem to install it but I need to go get hardware for it. Plus the mount they sent is awful light for its size so I'm curious how sturdy it is. Don't want my headlight falling off going down the road...
