Nice Mud, are you going to highlight the inside of those holes with another color? Actually the raw metal looks good (silver paint). Ever think about cutting out that center section of the lower belt guard, so it is just covering the belt and the pulley, so you can get a little more view of the wheel.

Looking at the picture reminded me of another free mod for those like me that don't like decals. I used a automatic center punch and dimpled the lower collar on the shock for positions one thru five, then removed the decal and the arrow below it.

Smiley, heat it with your firewrench.

Bend to needed angle.

Trim if need be.

Gotta be careful though cause you can ruin the strength
if not done properly.

I don't know the specifics to advise on color to heat to,
and/or what type of quench if any.

Maybe someone else here can advise on that part.

JRK5892 asked me through PM how I painted my tank badges. I don't have any pics. but here it goes. I used 3M blue masking tape, torn into small pieces and placed behind the badge. On the Street Bob the badges are slightly raised due to the two sided tape that holds them on. First I placed small pieces of tape behind the badge until I had it surrounded. Then I taped off the entire tank and used sheets and t-shirts to cover everything elseI didn't want paint on. Fitting the tape behind the badge is a little tedious take your time. Then I just sprayed Krylon Flat Black, I didn't use any primer just paint and they have held up fine through the whole summer.

I have another guard Frank but, I don't think it would be worth that much effort,
and, probably not necessary anyway.

I will ride with mine like this for now and see how I like it.

I think you probably meant to type TIG.
MIG is your wire feed process.

I would like to seethe sandwich technique on the belt Guard.
Do it and post up some pix.
