Yeah. It was kinda bugging me about how people were talking about all of these other methods. I've done two fenders now and my forks on my Dyna. My 2000 Sportster still has them... It will be fun to see if they're any different or leave any discoloration from them protecting the forks from the sun for 13-14 years.

Looks like your bike is back together... yah?

I've taken them off sawing the glue with a fishing line.

Do you have a a bracket to keep the box off the bike like stock bags? or is it rigid enough to stay in place?
What size back tire is that?

Admittedly, it has to be polished, but I love polishing my scoot. That copper pressure gauge line can be a booger tho.
Yes, the lower cover for the gauge is made from an oil filter; saw it in here and had ta DO it.

Sorry for the old phone pix; gotta get my new android busy....
Wow, that came out great, wish i had thought of that.

The oil pressure gauge undercover made from a chrome filter, I got from this thread; I don't take cred for that one. I chose the analog dipstick thermometer because of all the failed digital ones we read about: 2 years and still working fine. I did have to put an o-ring on it for a tighter seal though.

Used this trick today, installing my detachable hardware. Works great!

sorry, i used my heat gun to remove the relfectors on my switchback fender. Easy removal and a little Goo Gone took care of the rest.

Thanks...

This thread inspired me to polish my fork sliders. Looking to save $500 on the chrome. Will post pic's when I learn how.

Just a heads up for you - it's more important to study up on aluminum polishing more than anything to do with bikes.
