i know it's been posted before, but here's another sauce pan A/C cover. i used a band saw (industrial size) to cut the bottom of the pan off straight, then wire wheeled the coating off the out side, marked out and drilled six 1" holes on the side facing forward, drilled center hole out. did a couple test fits, and notched the pan for the rocker arm breather tubes, and then coated it about 3 times with some rhino lining!

Dyna battery box bag.
I needed someplace easy to put my cell phone and wallet and other small items on the bike, and I had seen this a few places around the forum, but never with much detail. Cost was around $30 for the bag.
The bag i got from ebay had long holes on the backside for the leather straps that lined up with 2 of the holes on the battery box, so really all i had to do was take a bolt and put it through the backside of the battery box and the bag with washers on either side and then use a locking nut to bolt it on.
I didnt like the way it looked without the band and figured i would try it with the band on and if i didnt like it i could find another band easily if i ever wanted to go without the band. So, i drilled off the plastic retainers on the band that went in the holes that the bolt was now occupying. then drilled out through the hole and mounted the band back on the box, put the bag back in place and bolted it all back together and mounted it on the bike. i think it looks good, and its functional. its not in the way of my legs at all, but i have forwards. it may interefere with mids, but i doubt it.
The bolts i used are longer than necessary, but i was using what i had around. ill get some shorter bolts before long.

Been a while since I've posted anything, and nothin on this thread. But, I have a plan...
I've been looking for an extremely minimalist seat, but don't want a springer. I got a friend to loan me his body working hammer set. With a little time, a lot of youtube, and hopefully some helpful hints from people here I intend to take a 2x2 aluminum sheet (15$), some vinyl (10-15)(or leather if I feel like spending extra, and a yoga mat (12) and fashion my own seat on my '10 WG. I'm thinking i'll form the metal to flow along the top of the bike all the way to the forward seat screw, glue a few strips of yoga mat and cover the top with vinyl/leather and the bottom with a soft/durable cloth.
I will post pictures as it progress', and again, any helpful hints are welcomed (i have limited sewing and leather experience, and NO metal working).

I found this place online that sells various kits, thought it might be of interest to others.
