RE: Good deal on tool set for Harleys
As soon as I saw this post I did a search. I thoughtI had remembered it from reading posts on the XLforum. As I remembered they were about 60 bucks and someone got a deal for 35 or so. I was right and the comments were positive about the kit.

I checked and the seller on e-Bay buys close-outs, etc and so the price is essentially a "salvage price", so I am comfortable with it. I bought 3 kits, one for the street bob, ond for my jeep and one as a gift for amy riding buddy. I'll let you know what they look like.
No kits have everything and I expect to add some things to it, but it will be better than the assortment of odds and ends that I currently keep on the bike.

Quote: Not a single socket. Not a single extension. I hope all of those repairs in that 90% have easy to reach bolts and nuts.
Maybe you didn't look closely enough. There are two sockets, a wratchet, and a multi-use extention. Plus every torx and hex that HD bikes utilize. Most of the mods I've done required torx and hex rather than sockets anyway.
If you've never broken down before, more power to you, and continued luck in the future. If you have, ANY tool you may have with you can get ya home if you use it right. A kit just may get you the round trip!
