I've got the pro R on my 07 WG. I put it there not for the performance (if you search it really won't do much) but for the looks. Personally I like the look it is different from the norm. And personally I think that the function with the butterflys is kind of cool. Ok all Hypercharger haters flame away I can take it.

I don't think there are many hypercharger haters...

We all just felt lied to when we found out that they don't help...

Ibought one, wrinkle black.then I found out you have to drill/tap the intake manifold or get the adapt-a-kit. Got the kit, then found out they are more 'show, than go'. Still in the boxes...[&:]

I've always thought they looked cool I just couldn't take putting something on that cost more and performed worse than the Screaming Eagle air cleaner I have now.I wonder if it could be installed without the butterflies as sort of a cool looking air cleaner cover?

I think so, Ed. After lookiing at mine, plus knowing they sell the butterflies seperately, I'm sure it could be modified to fit your needs.

Ed, what about putting one on and not connecting the vacuum lines. That would keep the butterflys open all the time.

Jabroni, I haven't seen anyone post anything detrimental that used any specific scientific methods to prove or disprove performance gains (like metering flow inside the case at 50 MPH for example or putting the bike on tuner while running on the road. Most of the dialog on suction vs. non-suction sounds logical but seems to be just opinion.
I have one on my 05 Superglide and it runs strong with no pings, stuttering etc....so who knows whether it does what Kury says it does.

have one, was on the bike when I bought it - older (non pro). changed the element to a k/n for performance. charger is show&go. yes different.
either take out the flies or remove vacum- but still would have to fix them in "open" position"??? so just remove em.

personally I likethe flies working.[8D]
