Default Sportster to Dyna?

I was just wondering if any of you Dyna owners are previous Sportster owners, and if so, are you happy you made the switch to your Dyna?

I've been thinking of getting an Evo-poweredDyna, since I'm not hearing any great stuff about the twin cams, and will most likely keep my 1200R Sportster.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I had this 07 1200L.....and then I got smart and got my Fat Bob. In my mind the best bike in the lineup. Well maybe not the best, but for the style of riding I do. I LOVE IT

Yep Thumper you know I had a Sporty before and really liked it, well up until the end.
I love my Dyna and am very gladI got the Street Bob. To me it is the best looking bike out on the streets.
I don't think I would go for an Evo Dyna though personally. The new 96ci in the Bob gives itvirtually the same power to weight ratio as the 1200 Sportster but you also get a better ride, more room and loads more torque. I haven't had any problems with mine but then again I have a little less than 6,000 miles on it.

So to answer your question I am very happy I switched.

VERY happy I traded up to a Street Bob. Wife kept the Sportster and she loves it.

Thumper, I had a 05 1200 custom and loved it. Traded to a Street Bob for the ride, and I wasn"t sorry. But I am afaid you will be disapointed if you go with an Evo, the performance just isn"t there in stock form. I have not had any problems with my 96cube engine and with the 6th gear it is a dream on the highway.

As long as you get a black one, you should be okay. They're the fastest!

My son has a sporty and I have a evo-powered wide glide. Both have good points. Around town the sporty is fun. Get on the open road I would rather ride the wide glide. Evo, Twin cam. They are both good. I like the simplicity of the carbed evo especially when doing mods. No computer needed. A little less power, but still enough to get you a ticket.
