I had 2 sporties before I bought my 07 FXD. I've had the same XLX handlebars on all of them and the Dyna feels like a really heavy Sporty on steroids. Dyna's are an excellent all round bike.

I had an '01 XL1200S prior to my Dyna, hands down the Dyna is a better riding and performing bike.

I went from a Sporty to the LowRider fortwo things, better two up and for a little more touring. It is not a beginner bike far from it. Here is my 1200R. I must have something for the Orange color.LOL.

I had a 97 sporty for years then bought a 06 Wide Glide. As much as I loved my sporster I would never go back. WG handles better and much more suited for the longer trips. Plus I am 6,2 and always felt cramped on the sporty!

Yeah; it had Buell heads by HQ at 10.6 comp and their cams and ignition as well as a 44CV. Wastollerable in the vibes department, too...it's on HQ's Canadian site in the Sporty dyno section. I wanted to add an aluminum swingarm and an 18" rear but got offered too much for it so let it go and commenced the search for a T-Sport. The T-Sport's are hard to find but it was worth the 6 month search and 4000km round trip. The Sporty was a much more nimble bike than the Dyna is but with the stuff I've done to the Dyna it's turned into an acceptable ride, much more suited to two up than a Sporty can be but still a lot heavier. How'd you get the pic to display in the post larger???

dude go for the evo it cost a lot less to hop up than a twin cam
Sorry, I just think it is funny to hear it cost less to go this or that route when talking about Harley Davidsons... Yeah, might save a buck to start with, but in the end you should always go the extra mile to do what you want, cuz in the end you will any way! And that my friend costs even more...
