Default RE: I signed no waiver.

My build date was December also and I got the manual addendum about the trans bearing - although I would guess that the dealer will observe the replacement bearing whether you have a scap of paper or not, if you have an affected bike - to me the "manual addendum" looks a little like a legal disclosure to stop some goofy-*** attorney from starting a class action suit over "defective transmission bearings." And I'll bet not many of us have to take our bikes in more than once - when you consider what they have to do to replace that bearing, no one really wants to have to do that every 15,000 - not us, not the dealers, not MoCo who has to reimburse the dealers for all that work. So I'd bet that some of the best engineers/metallurgists/whatever are working on a long-term fix right now. For me, it will be an opportunity at 15,000, since they'll have the right side apart, to slap on some chrome covers. It will probably be that long before I can afford them . . .

I went back to the dealership today, and after my request I was given a dealership signed document. I recommend everyone be sure to have this addendum signed by the dealership when they buy a 2006 Dyna model.

I bought my bob in late July and never heard of such. I guess I will have to contact a dealer. What if I bought it some where and move away from that dealer would the closest dealer appy?

My 06 was picked up in 9/7/05.

This service will be done at no cost to the owner. If you don't get it done and the transmission has a problem the cost will be on you.
