Anybody have a part number for a SB A/C cover - I'd like to have a go at making my own WS6 style lid, using Mud's instructions, but don't want to mess with my stock FB A/C cover.

These things look great - nice work Mud

Cheers,
-Jack

Thanks Mud, for such good info on how to do this, but I found out that my trim insert ( 96 fatbob ) is about 1"
smaller in diameter and had to settle for the SE insert. (just like you said)
I hit up every dealer between Monterey and Sacramento asking for discarded covers. Finely scored on the way back in Morgan Hill.
Much to the dismay to some dealers I had to convince them that the air filter for stage 1 on the fatbob was not round!
House of Thunder in Morgan Hill is OK! Andrew set me up with a cover, and backing plate! only charged for "Round filter" and gaskets.

Jack, the stockFB A/C teardropcover won't work for this.

By SB, I'm assuming you mean StreetBob, here are the #s -
cover - 29121-01
insert - 29343-06

My 06 Parts Manual does not show a # for 06 Black cover.
Anyone have the number??

Nice job Dean. Glad I could help.
Good picture too, with the fins reflected in the heatshield.

The FatBobs are a problem due to size and the insert nomenclature.

Look below at Todd's cover, It is a flattish black.
Without the insert, the all black may be a nice option for the FatBobs.

The Screaming Eagle Orange like yours is pretty nice too.

Hey Mud,

Do you care to do another one for California? I just picked up my Street Glide and decided to go w/ a Big Sucker this time instead of a Heavy Breather. If so PM me or I'll PM to get all the details from you.

Thanks,
Bryan

ANOTHER MUD PUDDLE ORIGINAL!!!

Well, we finally had a rained out day since I got my cover back from mud, so I took some pix.

Thanks again mud, the cover looks perfect, and the edges are as smooth as a baby's ***.

If anyone is considering having this done, DO IT!!! Mud is great at what he does, it's so clean, you'll think it was factory.

PRE MUD:

While mud was at work, I had to substitute using another member's idea... (BTW he's got great taste in music)

And finally, after mudding....
