first time reading this thread aand, as usual, impressive work Mud.
did mine several months ago. great idea with the drill press. i never could figure out how to get my edges smooth.
moved on to solid brass cover now
anyway, good work

Mud recieved my A/C cover today.
turns out that 08 models have a smaller diameter than previous years. therefore they do not fit.
so if you have an 08 and want to do this mod you must find a cover from a previous model.

im jut gonna ask if you any of you out there have a black A/C cover that is prior to 2008 that you would be willing to part with for cheap?After talking with mud on the phone today were trying to fiure howwe can still make one for my bike.
