You can do the 4" pullback riser without changing any cables, but in my case that still wasn't quite enough. I went with the mini apes (standard on Street Bob) which does mean changing cables, but the fit is perfect IMO.

Tom,

I saw those risers in J & P s catalog. Looking to put them on my sb. Keeping stock bars.

How does the pull back compare to stock riser? They claim 2". Is that fairly accurate. Any increase to height? I see that you have a tank lift installed so apparently that presents no problem with the new riser.

BTW, very nice bike.

Thanks, Keeg
That's probably about right.I could tilt the bars back for comfort but like to keep the flow of the bars with the tubes. They do just that and you don't have to extend the brake line but you do have to do a little switching around to make it work. Best I can remember they're made by Rivco and are a tad cheaper from them. Be cautious, they're expensive and you may not like the look. Those riser are massive, probably one three quarters square. Mine are hidden by the windshield and tach so I can live with them but I'm not crazy about them, especially at the price.

Good Luck

Tom

Alright! These guys are just pullin your leg!!....Risers, different bars....nonsense!

Ok, here is what ya need to do.....get ya some rearset pegs..like those sport bikes have (these will move your foot controls back about 10 inches and up about four inches). Place them about where your passenger foot rests are. Make sure you weld them in place real good. Now you can just lay your chest on the tank and reach the bars very easy. This will prove to be much more comfortable!

If this setup does not work out for you....not to worry! You will be able to sell that bike for a higher price because of the custom mods on it!

If you want to keep the looks, look at the softtail standard handle bars.Thats what I did and it worked great.
