Look on ebay for 9.5 pullback risers. Put your stock bar on em. You can buy them for 50 bucks, and you will like em' too.

Ihave an 07 FXD and had the same problem but I new that when I bought the bike.
I'm just a hair over 5' 6" tall and the St Bob/Wide Glide mini apes(P/N 56079-93) with 10.25" Rise tilted back just a little work just fine for me with a Mustang seat that seems to setback about 1".

When I first got the bike I had a pair of used chrome mini apes P/N 56563-95 with 8.75" Rise and they worked fine as well.

I have a 06 superglide custom. Nice bike but... the bars are about 2-3 inches to far forward for me. I need to change the bars or else sell it for comfort reasons. Any ideas? I was told the Heritage bars are a possible solution by the dealer. To me the bars have to fit right. I am 5ft 9 must have short arms. Need a solution.

Other than selling it (I don't recommend that) you have basically two options, either mount up a different set of handlebars in the stock mounting, or move back the stock bars with different mounting (risers).

You can look in the Harley catalog or some of the aftermarket ones like Drag Specialties, Custom Chrome or V-Twin. Ask your local shop or dealer what they have in stock for you to hold up and try out.

Good luck and DON"T SELL THAT HARLEY.

It's going to be pretty hard getting rid of a bike that doesn't fit.......would you take half KBB for it?

Mascman ha the correct set up I found thathe bars were to far apart and pulling on my shoulders. Pull back rizers and a 28 inch stright bar did the trick.

I'm kinda short and extra-round but mini-apes with pullback risers work fine for me.

Good Luck

Tom,

I saw those risers in J & P s catalog. Looking to put them on my sb. Keeping stock bars.

How does the pull back compare to stock riser? They claim 2". Is that fairly accurate. Any increase to height? I see that you have a tank lift installed so apparently that presents no problem with the new riser.

BTW, very nice bike.

Thanks, Keeg
