Look into the Harley Reach seat..pushes you forward, or you can have yours modified.

My brother and I have Duece style risers with drag bars and forward controls and can reach comfortably.

He's about 5'8" and I'm 5'7".

4 1/2 inch risers with pullback should help you out and you could probably use all of the original lines with a little tweaking. If you want some on the cheap let me know because I just switched to 15" apes - not I lean back too far

4 1/2 inch risers with pullback worked on my Sportster . All stock cables worked also ,tweeted the brake hose Dyna looks the same. My apes on my Street Bob I just rolled back .

I put the HD Set-Back Risers on my 08 FXDC and it is very comfortable for me (5'9").

TIP - Always put a towel over your tank when you loosen the handlebar clamps. The handlebars drop very quick!

I think one of the major benefits of Harley's are all the relatively inexpensive parts available to get the Fit correct. Don't get discouraged with Fit, you can fix that easy. Risers are a very quick easy mod, and may get the Fit right for you.

Here's the parts I got at the local HD:

[blockquote]
HD Part 56066-82A - Set-Back Risers (pair) $109.95

HD Part 56165-03 - Polyurethane Handlebar Riser Bushings $39.95
You need to replace the rubber bushings with poly due to the increased riser length results in more leverage movement of the bars. The poly bushings work great.

[/blockquote]
Good luck with your customizing, but IMO don't sell her till you get the fit right and then she won't let you get off her.

ORIGINAL: Silverglide

You don't need to sell your bike for comfort. Get some miniapes stock Wideglide bars are a great fit. Go to your dealer and sit on one. I think you will like the feel. It's like night & day..You'll be able to ride for hours with way less fatique. While your at it you might as well get some forward controls and you will be set..
OMG!!!Dont let Herr Monk get wind of you recomending fwds!!!...forwards 'skeer' the littleboy so he pretends he dont like them....:&gt

Before you sell the bike and regret it later, look at a set of Wild Ones 560's, they're a pullback drag bar and after making the change on my '04, I have never looked back. I tried different risers with the stock bars, nothing really worked very well. Call the guys at Wild Ones, they were very helpful in my choice. Quality bars and great service.

You can settle this for $80.00 if you buy Duece style risers ($39) and some pullback Drag bars ($39).

Got to www.KCInt.comand look around. You can even get pullback bars with risers built in (called T-bars) for about $60.00.

My bike (see pic below) and my brother's Superglide are both set up with Duece / drag bars.

These

plus these

Will give you this

Used all the stock length cables.
