Progressive 11 inch shocks on a WG ??
Is any one running 11 inch shocks on a Wide Glide?
I am considering Progressive 412's @ 11 inch for my 02 wide glide and was wondering if you have experienced any troubles with them bottomoing out. I drag my pipes now, will this make a difference? I do not want to have to change my riding style, but do think the bike will lokk good dropped in the tail end.

I threw a set of 11" on my '99. It looked pretty damn good, slammed down low like that. The only problem was the tail light housing. It cleared the tire by 1/2", IF that! The thought of bottoming out the tail light, ripping it off and getting caught up between the fender and tire didn't seem like a good idea, so the shocks came off.
BTW, that's a sweet looking ride you have there![sm=icon_rock.gif]

I have replaced my tail light assembly with one from a softail, tucked up under the fender tighter. I will definately check the clearance before I proceed.
Did you get to ride with them on at all?

If you're worried about hitting the tail light you might want to try something like this

or just get a side mount tail light / plate set up. Either way will give you plenty of room for lowering it and putting in a bigger tire.
