I finally got the nerve to replace my braided cross over so I could install my 2" tank lift. I got about a foot of fuel line and two new oem style clamps from Harley. I cut the the line to length and went to put on the clamps and realized you need a special tool for them, which I don't have. In the mean time I used the style of hose clamp that tightens with a screw driver. Will this work? I would really like to use the right clamps, do I need the tool or is there a trick to it? I want to figure this out before I put fuel back in. Any imput would be great. Thanks.

 

Any clamp is the right clamp.

I like the screwdriver style clamp over the crimp (stock) type.

you can pinch them with wire cutters. trust me, I work in marine industry and we use those clamps all the time.
