Cleaning up the wire harness

Cleaning up the wire harness
Spent a good five hours this past weekend tearing apart the harness, than trying to figure out how to dress it down to two main bundles and only on the left side of the bike. I took all the factory sleeving off which made the bundles smaller. Then I spliced in extra wire for the indicator lights and ran those down with the wires from the hand controls into the frame than back up to the console. Before they use to come out of the indicator lights and ran over the triple clamps up into the console. I used a nylon type braided sleeving that I got from a local electronics store, pretty much the same stuff they use on the 2007 and up bikes. Made a plug out of JB Weld, sanded it flat, sprayed it black, than wet sanded it to match the dull finish of the rubber frame grommet on the right side of the bike.
Hand control harness bundles = 5 bundles
Now 1 bundle
Left signal
Right signal
Left controls
Right controls
Indicator lights (high beam, neutral, oil, and left right signals)
Console harness bundles = 3 bundles
Now 1 bundle
Speedometer / Tachometer
Fuel tank sending unit
Factory indicator light splices

RE: Cleaning up the wire harness
Thanks guys for the compiliments....as always, I do appreciate them.........
Sleeving is 3/4", it came in a eight foot roll for $7.00. You could probably go to a smaller sleeving but your going to have to remove the connectors. One more change, I moved the clutch cable behind the harness.

Before and after photos below, before photos are already redressed and tied together with tie wraps.
