For the record, the scraping in the turns happened with the staggered duals and was completely my fault. I was being aggressive in the turns and when the pegs on my forwards started grinding, I didn't back off. That's when I discovered that the next feeling would be grinding off the end of the pipe and the frame. The moral here is to back it down when the pegs start grinding.

 

One of my slip-ons changed to a red color, too. I like it. Not going to get mine exchanged.
