That's what I use. Just seems to come up a bit more shiny than the factory partsand now as "wrinkled".

I'm gonna test it our this weekend on my electrical cover. Maybe I'll have better luck this go around.

Years ago, I used wrinkle black spray paint and baked the parts in my oven. It came out real nice.

 

Rustoleum makes a texture black in a rattle can that is pretty close match. Found it at Home Depot

 

This is what I ended up using on my side mount bracket...
You can see, compared to my upper belt guard, the different in amount of texture.



It all got covered by my license plate so for this project it didn't really matter. I did
have several coats of Rustoleum primer down first.
