Default Left grip removal question

Bought new bars and was wondering about any tricks to removing the glued left grip. It is not a stock grip, but rather a Kuryakyn Pilot grip. I'd really like to not damage it.

People are gonna wanna know the year and model of your bike. I might be wrong but, I think some years have different methods of applying left grip. I don't know for sure as I haven't done any work on grips yet. Someone will chime in with the answers eventually.

Yep...to the heatgunthat is. I never glue my left grip on because im always screwing with something and the control will hold it on without issue.

If you have the bars off you can put some alcohol between the grip and the bars. This will break up the glue and be able to pull the grip off. If you are reusing the grip make sure the alcohol is all dried out of the grip and apply glue to the new bars and put the grip on.

I just twisted real hard and pulled. Popped right off.

Must be my Popeye-like forearms.
