Yes, its for HDI models. USA, does not use it.

I just wiped under the intake runner with alcohol and stuck it there with apiece of doubl sided tape.

 

You will also have an empty plug down by the exhaust near the bottom of the battery tray. This is for a valve in the exhaust onthe HDI models and not the USA models.

 

If you have your original football, that plug has a serrated nipple that plugs into a hole back of the football, if it dangles no sweat, if you change your A/C just tie it up out of the way.

 

Like labfreak said the serrated nipplejust plugs into the air cleaner back plate.
If you feel behind the back plate you can see where it goes. I seen several of these just hanging.

 

I just plugged it into the back of the cleaner plate. No problem.

 

I did the same thing after went to the dealer for 1000miles check up and they didn't put it back for me .

Saltybull, where do you live. The plug that you see is inded the Cal. or Overseas emmisons plug. Do not worry about it. The performance will be fine. I have tied mine up with no problems.
