Susie Update--ALL DONE; Transformation COMPLETE!
Update:
Susie is done! Transformation complete! I rode her home today after having all the work done by a professional shop. I AM NOT a happy camper at all with the owner of the shop, who decided to gouge me on the labor cost......I was quoted 7 jours labor plus an additional 3 hours for the remainder, for a total of 10 hours labor. So, she hands me a bill for 18 hours labor, and tells me she was going to charge me 52 hours labor, but because of what the service manager told me, she lowered it to 18 hours. What pisses me off, is that if the service manager tells me 10 hours, then his word should be good. So....I am here to tell you that if you ever have Black Hills Custom Cycles in Rapid City, South Dakota do any work for you, get a HARD COPY of the charges, and it needs to go by the OWNER, not just the shop foreman.
On the plus side, all the work was top notch, everything works, and I will now go over the whole thing with a torque wrench, clean it up AND TAKE PICTURES to post!
Never rode a bike with apes...was a little weird on the way home.[&:]
The bike looks like a Wideglide with a silver motor, and aSuperglide rear fender that's been shaved. Probably would have been a hell of alot cheaper to have just traded her in on a new wideglide, but, too late now!
At least she is all paid for, to include all the work, and she is 100% DONE, no more needs to be done.
Oh, and she is all black now too!
