Default used SE II Slip-ons

Quick question?

Would SE II slip-ons for 2005 Dyna HD part #80293-99A fit my 2007 FXDC Dyna???

I really like the sound of the SE II, seems like they are the tone and volume I want but HD does not make them anymore!!!! I need to know for a ebay auction!

Thanks!

saltybull,

You will have no problem with the SE II's. I have a set from 99 on my 07 Street Bob. I got them off ebay to get me by until I could save enough for a complete system, but after taking out the baffles, cleaning them up and repacking them I am having second thoughts. They sound great and a noticeble performance increase. I may just keep them on..

I think they'll work also and if you want to wake them up a bit you can stick in a set of Big City Thunder baffles. They look a lot better also if you remove the support that holds the two pipes together and rotate the pipes just a bit to move the slotted support bolt holder to the inside.

Good Luck

Tom

You'll like them compared to stock. I went to buy some Rush slip-ons for mine and the dealer didn't have any for my bike in stock. What he did have was a pair of, new in the box, SE II's that were no longer made and he gave me a great price on them. I'm okay with them but, now that I've had them a while, I want a little more. I'm thinking about getting some Big City Thunder baffles for them.

Tommay, do you have any problems with them moving around or vibrating too much without that ugly assed support arm bolting the 2 together? I've wondered about removing mine but just assumed it was a must. You can see in my sig pic how much it stands out.

Skip the baffle repacking and just spring for the BTC Baffles as someone above mentioned - money well spent!

I bought a pair ofnew (old stock) SEII slip-ons and put them on my 2007 FXDC. I'm happy with the sound level.

No problems. The rear mufffler sags a bit, can't get the clamp tight enough to hold it up,even with a new clamp. It did the same thing when the support was on. these pipes are supposed to be drilled and rivited on to eleminate the possibility of one coming off but I don't know anybody who has done it. I may get around to riveting the rear muffler top and bottom of the pipe to keep it from sagging but I intend to get some of those Paughco belltip mufflers that have a fifteen degree up lift and fab a longer front pipe with a heatshield so I will likely just leave it alone.

Good Luck

Tom

Thanks Tommay. I think I'll leave mine like they are. As soon as I get an extra few hundred, I'm gonna change to some Big Radius pipes anyway.
