RE: Looking for suggestions
Good advice Horse. I sat on mine for a while and realized I don't really like buying all the little covers, figured on saving the money and use it for things the bike really needs. Big mods. Bars, rear lowered fork brace anything that helps the bike perform,to each his own. Have fun.

Free things first - remove the Minnie Pearl sticker from the downtube and get rid of thereflectors. Guys kept giving me chit about them on here until I took them off of mine and I do like it better.
Axle covers are a good add on. Get some 49mm clamps and move the front signals down to the front forks. If you are going to do a tank lift, do it at the same time you move the signals because you'll need to remove the tank anwyay. 2 things that can really change the look of your bike but aren't cheap - handlebars and seat. Of course, you already have a different than stock seat.
With all that said, I don't think your bike looks all that stock. It's nice...

I've got 16" apes on mine, but I've also put a stock Wide Glide front end on it also. HOw much money do you want to spend on your bike.
A different seat & bars can really change the look of your bike. Also lose the idiot lights & headlight eyebrow & relocate the turn signals, put on a 21" wheel. Lots of options. my bike is totally differemnt than what it was when I 1st bought it. I'll post some pics in the next few days of its metamorphasis.
All it takes is time, money & imagination.

ProPain, I am thinking the same way as you. I just bought a Fat Bob and it seems to be really hard to start customizing...like i dont know where to start and I dont want to spend an arm and a leg, yet...so i might start with the small things, like lights and axle covers, and chrome inserts for the calipers...i just need to add more chrome...
