Default Price for Apes and all the cables

I saw a great set of 13" or 16" apehangers ( 1.5")includes all cables, wires, chrome swithches/housing and they are black powder coat on Ebay for $659.00 !! Is that a lot? or is that a gouge? I want to do this conversion and do it myself but really like the idea of getting everything I need in one kit (They measure everthing for you, run the wires thru the handlebars, and I think you get Kury grips) Also, what do you think of the 13' vs the 16' apes? The 10" is basically the Street bob mini-apes,( OK, I guess,) I'm putting these on my '07 Superglide with stock bars on there now.

Any idea on type of cables? Braided, MoCo, etc? Sounds like it would be pretty expensive to start adding all that stuff up. Seems easy $650 in parts.

I just changed allof mine.
bars 16 X 1 1/4 $135
Braided stainless lines about $50 ea. $200 total
extended wiring harness $65

reused old grips and controls

total for parts around $400

I personally like the 16 inch apes. feel great and handles well.

It doesn't say what components are being used, who the manufacturers are, etc. It seems like a pretty good deal for what is being advertised. I looked at the guy's feedback, most complaints are about customer service and shipping, not the product itself. If you are willing to part with over $600.00 on a set of bars that it is up to YOU to specify length of wiring, cables, etc., then go for it.

I would almost think that you could do it yourself which would be a lot more interesting for the same price. That way you get to control the components (quality cables, etc. vs. cheap offshore stuff). Good luck and measure carefully.

You guys are right, can't tell what the cable mfr. are but they are stainless, I don't really need the chrome controls/switch housing, Sounds like Mr. E got his setup for $400.00 ...hmm.. do you think the black powder coat is worth the extra$ ?
