i went this route with my 16s but got chubby 16 and then got all the cables and fittings online for about 400 total including bars
oh and that included the wire extention kit too
Hey Guys. A little over 400.00 is what I've been seeing with stainless, saw some on ebay at demon cycles. I don't know the quality or how demons work so your on your own there, full set up though controls and cables.
I ordered cables through the same seller. I didn't buy off ebay but I just called them for cables. Came with brake line, throttle/idle, and clutch cables for around$200.I cannot remember the brand name on thepackaging for the cables but they looked like quality cables. They list a number in some of their auctions so call them if you want to know what brands they use. Shipping was quick and their customer servicewas great. If you are not comfortable doing all the wiring these will work but there is still a bunch of work left to install them. If youknow what you are doing the install is not toohard and you could buyall the parts you want.
I bought all Barrnett cables, +6" (black), 50" Goodridge brake line with fittings, and wire extension kit (which I didn't need), all from J&P Cycles $255. Built my bars out of 1" .100" wall DOM tubing cost about $70.
Quality in the cables is Important.... The cheaper cables look good new, but turn yellow after awhile in the sun... Check the Brand and if there coated..
you might also want to check out ebay #: 300158482244. i wouldn't go with the black bars, afraid of chipping
Thanks all, do any of you know which brand cables are of the best quality? Opinions. I don't see why chipping would be a concern unless they were really cheap bars, we have black powder coat on lots of different bike parts...anybody experience chipping on those parts?
