I'm surprised you don't have a welder.
Hmm Christmas is comming.
What sort of welder are you using anyway
as thin as these tins are I'm a little afraid I'd burn through.
There are some pretty nice low cost 120
home set ups out there now though.
Ed, I have a Lincoln 125 Plus.
110 volt, bought it 7-8 years ago, about 6-7 hundred then.

Excellent machine, MIG (wire feed).

It will weld real thin material without burning through.
Welds up to about 3/8 thick as well.

I recommend against a really cheap machine
as a starter, you may be hurtin your cause.

go to a friends place and try out their machine,
then go from there.
Or you can come over here and try mine out.

An auto darkening helmet is a must.

Mud Rules.
Makes the rest of us look like 1st graders.
Some hyperbole,
but I do appreciate the compliment Scott.

Coming from you,
really means alot.
Thanx.

Mud, that looks great! You've got some talent.

-I want to go the other way.
I'd like a bit more fender on the front,
so I'm going to have to weld a mount to the lower fork legs
for a brace attachment.
I think I can work out the top braces
with the two holes they've given us up top.
Thanx for the compliment.

You've got your work cut out
to weld on that slider.

Keep us updated, sounds interesting.
