Default Wide front tire

Special Ed brought up something in one of his posts about putting a wider front tire on.
How wide can you go on a Street Bobwith out removing the fender?

Has anyone done this already? Pics please.

I have a 110 on the front of my bob, and I don't run a front fender anyway. But just so you know, even with the 110, it renders the front fender useless because it is not wide enough to cover much of the tread area. Best advice would be to buy a different fender...

Im doing a 21" 120/70 on the front of my Street Bob using a 3.5" rim, but im running wide glide tree's. As far as the fender I think im going to buy an 08 Fatbob fender (fits the wide glide trees...120 is just about 3/8" narrower than the 130 on the Fatbob) and have it painted. Most of the parts are at the powdercoater so no pics yet.

How much room do you have on the sides with the 110 on the front? I was thinking of going as fat as 120 on the front but wasn't sure.

Don't know about a 160 on there. I'm running a 120/70/21 on a 3.5" front wheel on my '97. Take a ruler and measure out on the current tire you have. If you're running a 90/90, the 160 will be 70mm (7cm) wider. One inch ~ 2.54cm. So the 160 would be ~ 2.76" wider. Or you can call someone like one of our sponsor's, Hog Pro, and ask them or a Harley dealer.
