I seen a bob with it back home in Arlington TX a few months ago. It looked real good. It's taking everything I can (empty wallet and mean ole'lady helps) to not climb into a burn pit somewhere and let loose.

My dealer has a new Streetbob with the 180 installed. Really looks great. Don't know about the cost.

bayouboy - I noticed you have some rear axle covers on your '06 WG. When I bought my WG last month, the dealer told me that HD didn't have rear covers available yet for the new WG axles. Do you recall which ones you installed on your ride? Thanks.

My dealer estimated that the cost would be $75 for the labor minus any deal you may get. Looks great.

Now, how will this tire help the bike/ride when the vanity argument is taken away? Will it add or subtract from the bikes cornering/handling ability? Anyone?

I have no idea what I'm talking about but I did read somewhere that there are no "negative effects" until you get up to 200mm in size. I know that I will be upgrading when my current 160mm wears down.

160mm = 6.30 inches
180mm = 7.08 inches

Installing a 180mm tire will give you 0.78 inch more tire.

I guess in the scheme of things that .78 of an inch isn't that much. Thanks for your reply and ride on.

Perhaps not...but it would be noticeable visually. Plus the SE 180mm tire in the upgrade kit has a more agressive tread pattern which makes it look cooler.

But like I said before, I have no idea whether handling or traction would be increased or decreased with the change. I'm new to this stuff!!
