Seems to me paying it off would be the way to go. The damage is relatively minimal in relation to the amount of parts you could pull off the bike and sell, but then your looking at making up around 5 k in difference and the hassle of selling all the various parts.

If it were me, I would take the payoff and scout for a new ride.

 

Personally I would fix that scooter in a new york second. Based on the pics, that bike is not hurt bad at all. TIG a stop on the neck and go from there. I have bought and fixed totaled harleys in much worst shape than that. Give me a shout if you wish to sell it.

i would not be able to trust that frame, and my family is way too important to me to rely on a questionable frame.unless you are up to the task of really goingover the entire bike with a fine tooth comb, then it really isn't worth the risk.
