Default RE: Moving front signals - some help?

Murphdog,
Got a direct page link to the exact bolt & jam nuts you used? Do they make them in chrome or was stainless the only option? Got any pics of how it looks on your bike? Thanks.

You shouldn't need the bolt to be chrome because it shouldn't show at all. I guess if you are going to use any sort of visible jam nut or spacer you may want to get that in chrome. I'm going on the hunt shortly this am. I'll report what I find out.

There's a ton of online fastener places, I picked Allens Fasteners at random and they worked out good for me. I used stainless button heads and chrome jam nuts, but they have chrome button heads as well. If you use 3/4" screws and jam nuts, the screwsare pretty much covered up anyway. In all fairness to Kuryakyn, they do sell these clamps as mounts for their Silver Bullet lights. You're right though, it wouldn't kill them to include the fine thread screws so they would work with Harley turn signals.

I put the Kuryakyn Large Silver Bullets on my Low Rider as running lights using the Kuryakyn 49 mm clamps. In answer to your question regarding putting the clamps below the lower tripple tree, Yes!, they will work fine in that location.

Just got back from the closest dealer I could get to. Parts guy came back from the svc. dept. with 2 bolts that should work but they are different lengths. I'll probably have to cut one off a little but it should work.

I got it done without cutting anything but haven't tested it on a ride yet. I may be interested in some more detail of the use of the locking nut method and the parts used and how. I used a lock washer between the lights and the clamps and tightened the bolts as tight as I could get them yet I can still move the lights up and down with my hands. It isn't easy but I can make them move. So, I'm concerned that the constant jarring and vibrating of riding down the road will eventually cause the lights to move even though I used plenty of loc-tite.

Bike is a mess from riding through showers on the way back from Myrtle Beach Sunday. I'll be cleaning her up in a little while and I'll post a pic or two after that if anyone is interested.
