07 superglide rear shocks HOW LOW?
Whats the shortest shock i can go with before running into rubbage issues? I weigh about 170 and my future passenger is about 130. Right now i'm looking at some 10" shocks from licks cycles. Any advice would be appreciated.

I believe 11" is about as short as you want to go, but maybe 10" is okay. You want to keep in mind you will have to lower the front level with the rear, and that will put your pegs that much closer to the ground, and you do want to go around corners, don't you??
Let us know how 10" works out, if you do go with them.

RE: 07 superglide rear shocks HOW LOW?
When taking off the shocks on a 2007 Street Glide, (using this as an example that I haveon file) using a jack to raise up your wheel so it hits the fender the measurement is 9" (from eye to eye shock mounting bolt) with a stock 9 spoke wheel and stock tire size (but changed to a smaller Avon Venom tire, same numbers as a Dunlap). If you factor in ¼” tire growth @ speed than you must figure out how much travel you are left with. If you pick out a 10” shock, than you will only have ¾” of travel. Besides lowering the bike to make sure it will not corner, you can not go over any bumps = to or more than ¾” before bottoming out the shock by hitting the bumper (if in fact the shock company will have this custom feature). Failure to limit the shock travel will result in the tire hitting the fender thus stopping travel there. How do I know these things. We build shocks. Go to http://motorcyclemetal.com/gpage8.html for a photo of what you are looking at as far as shock mounting on a Fl. I just did a 05 Superglide last night and got these figures. Here is the photo. I used 12 1/4" shocks here. If I have the measurements wrong, please include the make, model, and year for me. Thank You.
