I'm not sure if it'll fit on the 17" rear, but I'm having mine changed to an 18" and their putting the 180 on.

Jake, won't the 18" really crowd out the fender with a 180? or are u using a a WT kit?

Tire has to fit on the stock 4.5" width rim.

It can "fit" on there but the tire won't maintain a good profile.

Plenty if guys here have done just that though with no problems butI went with a 170 which works nice and is made for a 4.5" rim. The only 180 that I know of that is made for a 4.5 is the one that comes in the kit.

What will the difference be with a 180 on an 18" wheel as opposed to a 17" if any?

I just got off the phone with the dealership and I was told that instead of installing the entire 180 kit and charging me $180.00, they were able to break the kit down and use two $15.00 brackets. I won't be home for another week or so, but I'll post pics of it when I do.

So, do I have a 4.5" rim stock? I'll go with a 170 if that is easiest. BTW, LOVE those sideshots on yer bike! I'm getting the black ones that are due out in FEB

Doug, yu posted some really good info in earlier discussions on tires, but I could not ascertain if the 180 will just go right on, looks like from what evryone is saying, it won't ??
