RE: question on LED tail lights
I use Radiantz LED clusters in my HD taillights AND front turn signals...link here:

I use the 1.85" array front and rear, with a signal dynamics system that integrates my brake lights and turn signals as well as the main brake light. Not stylish, perhaps, I just want to be seen!

A question... not an attack, just a question...
If you're worried about which light is "Brighter"... why would you THEN want smoked lenses, which would impede whatever "Brightness" you got from your bulb set-up? The question is: Are you chosing a light so it will "Look Good" (I'm not knocking you here, we all want our rides to look good), or are you chosing a light so people can see you?

RE: question on LED tail lights
I had the Kury Panacea setup. They looked good at night, but were way too dim in the bright sunlight. My riding buddy noticed, and I went back to standard bulbs. Sometimes old tech is better. There may be brighter ones, but I'm sticking with bulbs. The newer ones must be brighter becauseI see they're now standard on some models.

I went with the Kuryakyn smoked low profile 4959 led taillight and the 4827 and 4825 Kuryakyn turn signal led conversions on my 2006 streetbob and love them. they are brighter during day or night and make the bike look a ton better than stock. here is a picture below.

RE: question on LED tail lights
I just installed one of the new H-D LED taillights on my 07 ULtra Classic and one on my wife's 07 1200 Custom. The same light also fits the Dynas and most Softails as well. I've got the Chrome with smoke lens model on mine#68086-08, and my wife's is chrome with the red lens #68085-08. They are just simple plug and play complete tailight assembiles. They also offer a black housing with smoke lens model as well #68007-08. They were much brighter than the Kuryakyn LED's that I have seen. I even compared the brightness of her red lens model to my smoke lens model and both were very bright and I couldnt tell much difference between the two. In my opinion H-D should put these standard on all of their bikes.

RE: question on LED tail lights
I got the same set-up as silverbullet2005. Only I have the factory LED light mounts(chrome between light and fender)that work with the stop/turn functions. Plus the Kury stop/ turn signal controler and the blink 3 times stoplight. Don 't have a pic of the taillights, but they seem pretty bright in daytime.
