We all discover things about our bikes as time goes on. What are some of the little secrets that you have discovered or learned about your bike? You know....someone shows you something about your bike and you say...damn...I didnt know that.....

I have a '07 wide glide....I learned about the 4 way flasher a month after I had the bike...

Just yesterday 9/20/07 I learned you could push the trip meter button and see the odometer reading while the bike was parked and off...I hit the button by accident.....and...low and behold...the mileage showed up....1950 miles on the bike...and I had no idea that was a feature....any other tips or tricks or secrets....about these bikes????

 

First time I dropped my bike I found the "Tilt" indicator

 

 

I hope I never find the tilt indicator.....

 

well, did the ol 5,500 mile check up today at the dealer. $240.00 later,,,, with syn 3. They checked my security system, and I posted the Clunk, clunk issue a while back,,, I learned it was not the Fork, but they tightened the fork bearing,,, dam it was my gas tank, that was loose and was making all that noise.This is a awsome site.

The second time was only half way over. I found a nice shady spot onder a tree to stop at and have a smoke......and found out that stuff that falls off trees is slippery ya know....

 

A good friend told me "It's easier to get forgiveness, than permission." So when after 10 years not riding (I sold my 78 sporty when we got married) I bring home a Street Bob, my wife didn't divorce me like she would have if I had bought it after she had told me 'NO'" LoL!

That's been the best tip or trick I've heard, and it works!

 

I learned today that if I get stuck in stop n go traffic, that very shortly thereafter, my bike shuts off all by itself!!

Thought they had that problem solved. Apparently not.[:@]
