1. After you just loosen the oil filter, put a bread bag or large baggie over it as you unscrew it. It will help the excess oil dripping, and "it's in the bag!".

2. If you drop one of the rear exhaust/cylinder nuts between the inner primary cover and the trans, you'll always know where the spare is.

A friend jus told me this one, it's not a bad idea to listen to someone who's ridden a long time before YOU take off on your new bike. He was giving his friend some instructions on ridding, when the guy, "just took off" then, proceeded to dump it in the parking lot they were in , lucky in a way, about 2-300 bucks worth of damage.

Dumped a moving bike and only 2-300 in damages????? I was in second, comming around a turn one day. Couldent have been doing more then 20 -25 mph. Musta hit some oil or sand. Rear wheel came out from under me. Aside from some road rash, I was fine. But my scoot took 10 grand to get her right.

"I learned to always take the old part off and take it to the part counter with me and compare it to the one the part guy lays on the counter. If I don't, it's guaranteed to be a) too short, b) too long, c) too big around, or d) too small."

Can I hear a loud "Amen"?

Learned yesterday that my bike handles like **** with low tire pressure. "dunmbass"
Once i realized my key fob was thrashing the paint on the frame I glued a magnet to it!
Helmet first then gloves!
I have learned to ignore the " Why didnt you buy a Fatboy?" comments.
Dogs dont think my Harley is as cool as horses do![sm=dontgetit.gif]

If you have an open primary/dry clutch strap a piece of velcro around your clutch lever for a 30 min. after a long/hard ride to keep your clutch plates from sticking to each other.

I've learned that getting laid is really easy after you give a chick a ride on a Harley.....
