Had the same problem with mine.

Went to Advance Auto and got a FIAMM Freeway Blaster Low tone
(F 72112) for around $15 and solved the problem.

It's a metal horn and a direct replacement.

Hey Sammi - any photos of the horn on your bike?
I'm kind of curious as people seem to have trouble hearing my stock horn as well...
It's the same size as the stock horn, and it sits behind the cowbell cover just like the stock one did.

I used to have that problem with the stock horn only working when it wanted to. Had it replaced, same problem. Then I put the auxilary horn on and solved the problem.

When I had the 103 kit put on my bike, the stock horn broke off, bracket just cracked. Had it replaced, 1 week later...it happend again! Finally I just took it off and I'm just running with the auxilary horn, but it's not loud enough.

does anybody have problems with thier horn, only works when it wants to. and if so how often do you use your horn thinking of getting rid of it and putting something else in its place just don't know what
I added the Premium Air Horn kit to my 2007 Low Rider because I do a lot of city riding. It really gets you noticed!

Wow, out of all the bikes I've owned (ricers) the horn on my Harley is the loudest.

Yep the loudest, when it works. Ever since I switched over the cowbell, it works about 40% of the time. This is not a good thing. You guys that had the stealer replace it. Was it warranty covered? I like Sammi's solution. Although there's no Advance Auto around here, we do have Auto Zone and Murray's. I'll try the stealer first, but then it'll be the closest suitable replacement, via the auto parts store. Thanks, Sammi

the horn on my 02 worked when it wanted to. cleaned all grounds, including to the head and connectors, removed horn from cowbell then sprayed some wd-40 into the horn itself, let it sit for about 5 minutes, removed excess wd-40 reassembled, tested and i have used it. sounds as good as new.

[:@] All I know is whenever I get in a situation where I need to use the horn, I end up pushing every other button BUT the horn, and then getting pissed and looking at the buttons when I really oughta be lookin at the road! Then theres the time when I go to use my turn signal and hit the horn! What the hell is that thing there for?

mine did the same thing but I sprayed Silcone lube in it. I would not use wd40 because it drys out. plus it does not have the dialectic qualities of silicone. It works everytime now.
