I must admit I bought my fork brace for the looks.
I’m not an aggressive rider so I’m not sure what
performance improvements it may have made.
It looks good, and any handing improvement is
just a bonus for me.

It is instructive to take a look at the Superbrace website. There is a link at the top of HDForum since they are a sponsor. I probably am a more aggressive riderthan some people but my goal is to be alive at the end of the day. To me leaning into a corner pushing the handlebars is one of the great joys of my favorite hobby. Any significant upgrade in the stability of the bike is money well spent IMO. I don't agree that braces are only for extended front ends. Perhaps there is an even greater need when your front wheel is in the next county, but if you like agood handling motorcycle the brace is surean improvement. I suppose if you chose to extend your forks handling isn't of prime importance to your motorcycling experience anyway, eh?

Dudes,

Are they really that good? I've never really noticed a flexing or handling problem with my Wide Glide, but I haven't really pushed my bike in the twisties yet.

Do they make the bike fall into the turns better, or stop the bars from wobbling? I've seen a few bikes around town who use the brace.

I may purchase one of these if I know what improvements it will make.

Any information is appreciated.
I haven't got one yet but it is on the list. All sport and racing bikes have them, not by accident. Every bike I have owned had one or I put after my little speed wobble at 85MPH on the highway riding a CB650 Nighthawk, craped my pants. All you can do is hang on and let go the throttle put on on and did 120MPH...no wobble.

Waterman, did you put yours onafter removing your fender? It seems the fender would give some stability to the forks.

Add another +1 for me for a SuperBrace on a Low Rider. Biggest difference for me was in rough corners where without the brace the forks would dampen and rebound asynchronously from side-to-sidewhich produced a noticeable wobble. Depending upon speed and the particular corner, for me this ranged from just annoying to moderate pucker. Now it is rock solid, but has not affected the fork's ability to handle the bumps.

Worth the investment in my book.

Cheers,

Doug
