Wax Polish or Nothing?

RE: Wax Polish or Nothing?
Windex is good, but takes every bit of wax off. Its the amonia. SO if you've waxed and use windex to maintain...there's no wax now.
I use a wax called Insulator Wax, it goes on easy and come off easier. You may have to do some searching for it at local stores. What I usually do on my black truck is the Meguires 3 step process. They have a #1, a #2, and a #3 bottle...but for the #3 which is wax I use the Insulator wax. Great results and on a bike doing the process 3 times (once for eack step) may take a hour at best.
For the chrome I usually just use a damp towel and spray detailer wax on the towel and wipe it on what I want it on, then it come off in a breeze...if I'm feeling frisky I'll use the Insulator wax on that as well.
(Insulator wax is what electric companies use on high power lines to keep birds from landing and crapping on them. That's how slick this makes stuff. You figure how often do they was their lines??!! It must last for them to use it.)
I used it on my old crotch rocket and had to take it off of the tank because my knees couldn't hold the tank! Water beads off of it like a duck's back.

RE: Wax Polish or Nothing?
Does any body out there use Maas polish? I have used it for a couple of years and so do my riding buddies around here. But I have never seen any one on the forum that uses it and have posted this link in alot of threads. I have used many kinds, and settled on this one because it can be used on paint or chrome and looks great on my 10 year old bike. Easy on and Easy off. Easy to clean bugs and grime off of also. Kind of like the Ford Chevy thing to each his own.
Anyway here is the link. Check it out.

Check out the "Detail" section of the fourm. Hours and hours of direction onf this subject.
Me? I use Meguires Quick Detail on everything but the tins. I occasionaly wax the tins with Zaino Cleaner Wax. It's the best wax I have found. I use Pledge about every other day on the paint to keep it glossy and dust free. The gloss Pledge brings out is incredible. Even on Vivid Black.
