RE: Tank Bag
I have one of those magnetic tank bags, but girls must have bags.[&o] I'm careful to not slide the magnets around and my bike is older and rough anyway.
I threw the thing in RaftGyde's messy tourpak to lock it up a couple of weeks ago and when I went to grab it out, a lot of movement happened in there. With it came an assortment of a ratchet, extension, a couple of wrenches, and a set of keys. Hey, the magnets can come in handy!

Get a fork bag. Tank bags are tough on your paint if even a little bit of dirt gets on it.

This one might work and it's shown mounted on a 1200C - I know where your coming from here; I like to keep a camera handy - depending on your riser/bar configuration, you could mount a soft fork bag on the backside of your handlebars.I have one w/ a velcro closure which makes it little safer to rumage through at speed.

I use an HD tool bag that i converted to a windshield bag... soft inside.. keeps everything dry and from floating around.. even keep different sets of glasses in there for day and night riding.. works like a charm and isnt mounted to the metal portions of the bike which translates to NO rub or rash on the metal
