I instzalled the 2" tank lift and had to use a longer hose under the console. Its best to remove the console before lifting the tank so you know what length of the fuel over flow hose you are dealing with.

I had exactly the same problem. That line is the fuel vent, not the overflow. It comes off a plastic bung under your center console. Jackyl used to include the hose. Like you I did not want to break the fitting and instead opted not to install the lift.

Hey guys,

I order Jackyl’s 2” tank life and received it today. Thanks Jackyl!! Following the instructions I got to the part of raising the tank 2” to install the bracket and it seems this black hose that looks like a vacuum tube is not long enough. What is this thing? It looks like it’s connected to a black plastic piece and then it’s connected to the frame with a plastic holder. I tried to pull the plastic holder from the frame but did not want to break anything. Then I thought I better ask the Forum before I go tearing things off!! Anyone have any advice? Attached is a pic of the offending device!!!

Thanks

I had exactly the same issue. I cut the plastic zip tie off the frame and problem solved. I used another black zip tie to secure it to another spot.
