2” tank lift install help!

RE: 2” tank lift install help!
I just finished installing the 2" lift I got from MMC on ebay...I had the same problem on my 06 street bob. On the lower side of the check valve and where it's attached to the frame, the tubing can be disconnected and replaced with a new line 3" longer. Worked for me and kept everything clean looking.
I recently had the bike serviced for an inner primary seal leak (Warranty work thank god), a couple of the shop guys asked about the tank lift, and I've noticed most of them now haveliftsinstalled on their personal bikes.lol

it is the over flow loosen the bolt that holds down you console and lift out of the way slide the hose off and take to local auto parts store and get one a couple inches longer i believe it cost me about a dollar. then reinstall. and where it is located on the neck if you push strait up on that plastic piece it will come off the little stud it is attached to slide your hose on then put it back on and push down till it snaps back into place it is really simple.

RE: 2” tank lift install help!
I was having that issue on my 07 streetbob......so for a couple extra minutes work I made it easy
I unbolted the three screws holding the speedo console down ans sat that aside. then unplug one connector and sat that aside and last unplugged the overflow hose and lifted the tank with out anything in the way. plus cleaned under console....
I got lucky and pulled on both sides around zip tie and broke it loose....not from frame but out period....moved the valve up and reput zip tie on and reinstalled everything after pulling an inch from inside frame.
the biggest pain was my tank was full....

Thanks for the help guys! I am going to take the console off and see if I can get some more room with the hose. If need be I will buy a longer hose. I don't know how to take the console off so I am going to go buy the service manual and then give it a try! Thanks for all your suggestions! Let you know when I get the lift on!
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
