Scratch on Black Denum paint

Scratch on Black Denum paint
On my recent trip, me and a buddy were trading on fill ups and he accidently ran the gas nozzle along the top of my tank. It's very light and I'm positive it will rub out. Before I really try to rub this scratch, I wanted to know what products you guys would recommend.
My concern is that I have never dealt with Black Denum paint.
What do you guys recommend?
Thanks

RE: Scratch on Black Denum paint
I always thought a scratch on a tank with black demin is there for life. I read in another post that someone was able to get out scratches by water sanding it out, but I would never try that on my tank, would rather just keep the small scratch as a reminder to not scratch it again.

RE: Scratch on Black Denum paint
I had a fairly deep scratch on the rear fender of my 06 Denim black Bob and I took it out with
600 grit wet sand paper. You could not tell it was ever there, use figure eights or a circular motion.
