Default O2 Sensor Eliminator

I've got an 06 FXDBI and will be upgrading my exhaust, a/c, and fuel management. I have the O2 sensors and stock pipes with the O2 sensor bungs. The question surrounds the ECM changes. I see that the Power Commander III for my bike has the O2 sensor eliminators.
1. If I go with the PCIII with eliminators, can I go with pipes that don't have the O2 bungs welded on?
2. Does the O2 sensor eliminator actually remove the sensors, or simply bypass them?
3. I read that the sensor eliminators allow for greater flexibility in adjustments for the fuel mixture. Does this mean if I were to get a Vance and Hines FuelPak, that doesn't have the O2 sensor eliminators, that I would be more limited in mixture options?

Any insight would be appreciated.

PCIII comes with plug in eliminators. You unplug the O2 sensors and plug in the elimenators (make sure you slop so dielectric grease in the connection)
Once you do this there is no need for the O2 sensors. You ca leave them in place, remove and plug them or get pipes w/o the bungs.
When I replaced my pipes, I went ahead and got them with the bungs in case some day I want to change things up again.

I made my pipes and didn't put the bung in. I haven't had any problems so far.

Awesome. I appreciate the response regarding the PCIII and how the eliminators work. Does anyone know if the Vance and Hines FuelPak gives more limited tuning options versus the PCIII since the FuelPak retains the narrow band O2 sensors?

A FuelPak can only add fuel. A PC111 can add and subtract fuel and timing.
You can also riase your rev limit to 6200.
