Love my Black Denim paint job. Easy to clean and looks great. Might not be a pretty as some of the other paint jobs but it's tough looking.

Love the denim black look, the blue and red not so much.

Actually the demin paint HAS a clear coat....they just put a "flattener" in the clear before they spray it on. Using just primer, will allow rust, as condensation goes right through primer, as primer is very porous...on purpose, to allow the base coat to adhere. The flattener gives you that look, but with the protection of a base coat.

Some I like, some I don't....kind of depends on the bike. TheCustom all black V-Rod in Black Demin, is "too black" for me PERSONALLY, as an example......I think a little chrome sets off the flat paint better.

P.S. You can give your paintjob the flat look by wet-sanding your clear with 2000 grit paper, and alot of water.

I hate it, it's just too fragile, every time I look at it it pisses me off that I didn't get the cheaper much more durable vivid black.Did I mention that the paint on my back fender was ruined on day one.

I love the look - I, too, get a lot of compliments. I bought it because it was distinctive. I see vivid black all of the time, butso far, very few black denim bikes.

It's also easy to clean. Wash and wear, I guess. There's still plenty of bling on the bike to wax and polish, if you enjoy doing that stuff. Little by little, I've been taking all of the chrome off of my bike.

I really like what one of the other posters said. It looks maybe like the way a real bobber would have looked -
$$ put into engine and suspension, and to heck with the paint
.

Bump. (where is the bump smiley?)
After more time has past, how is the Denim paint holding up?

My SB is vivid black and I am considering getting the Crimson Denim Paint tins, no one seems to want to paint the denim colors and the cost of prep, materials, and laboris probably comparable to the cost of new tins. BestI can find is1300.00 for new. Thoughts?
Thanks, CB
