I've got an 07 pewter denim. I love it. I get a lot of comments and the scratches don't show like the black because of the lighter color. If I ever get tired of it I'll just paint it. Go for the denim.

Frankly, I WOULD NOT use Windex on paint. Use a spray detailer.

I'm glad folks that don't like denium wansn't riding bikes sprayed flat black in the old days. Seems like most folks now days only wants show bikes. Ridin bikes seem to be the best to me.
I have glossy paint, and I ride my bike all the time!

P.S. As stated above get it if you like it, and later you can paint it glossy if you decide that's better for you. How about wet sanfing your clear with 2000 grit wet sandpaper? Then you have the flat look, and if you don't like it, well, then it's already wet sanded, buff the gloss back in!

It seems to me that the denim finish does seem to scuff quite easy. It also seems that the scuffs will generally wipe away. I would highly recommend the denim finish, I like it alot. I've only had mine since April and have only cleaned it with windex and a soft cloth.

Can't comment on the passenger pillion as I don't have one.

Well the stealer installed my passenger pad and the bumpers . They put the bumpers on the fender instead of the seat now i hve 2 rows of gouges down both sides of my rear fender so......... I guess I will have to find someone to touch them up now.

Stories like this is what keeps me from getting a 2-up style seat so alas, I'll always ride alone.
