I do too. There was a thread here a while ago and the concensus was the opposite of you and I.

I really like the wide glide fender. Don't care what anybody else does to their bike. I had tombstone tail lights on 30 yrs ago. They didn't even burn good on a 6volt system back then either.

Some folks like it some don't.

Had one (06) on my machine for about two weeks.
Didn't go the way I wanted.

Bought it from a guy on the forums here a year and
a half ago. It was zero milage.

He took it off an 06 WG, put on a SuperGlide fender
and drag bars. That's the look he wanted.
That machine looked great.

I bought his WG bars as well.
Along with all the cables, risers, and such.
Still runnin the bars on mine.
Really like the 1 1/4 inch bars and the beefy risers.
Makes the Street Bob bars look puny.

Recently traded the fender to Trotter
for a set of 2into1 Rineharts.
We're both happier.

I think the fender looks real good on his machine,
(pictured above),
The longer pipes make the difference, to my eye.

I think you read the consensus that way scott
cause more negatives seem to appear as keystrokes.

The positives are out on the road.

thats one of the next mods on my list the bobtail fender. so did you guys actually buy the kit from harley or did you just buy the fender from someone with a wide glide. are they interchangable basically?

HD sells the kit with all the parts.

edited to add:

You need the fender itself, with front splash.

taillite/license mount,
