"I think you read the consensus that way scott
cause more negatives seem to appear as keystrokes.

The positives are out on the road. "

Well said Mud.

The only thing that matters is that you enjoy your ride.

Some folks like it some don't.

Had one (06) on my machine for about two weeks.
Didn't go the way I wanted.

The positives are out on the road.

wouldn't you agree Mud that something "Harley" got lost and replaced with something....shall we call it "non-Harley"...in the "modernizing" that the fat-bob fender has been throughas part of the Dyna line renovation?

it appears as if some of the old-skool-coolness has been replaced with modern-retro-flowing something.....

Ezra, I agree with what you are saying almost entirely.

The yellow machine you use to illustrate your point
is right on. It says "harley". (pictured below)

Could do w/o the lettering on the tank.
It says "harley" in the sense that I think you are meaning,
w/o the lettering on the tank.

I like the exaggerated rise at the rear.
We used to call it a duckbill.

HD now calls it a "bobtail".
Up till 06 it was more of a rise.
Myownself, I just don't like the way the 06 up fenders
shoot straight back so damn far, beforethe "bob".

But, "harley" didn't come up with most of the
"old-skool-coolness", as you so aptly describe this.

That happened on the street.
HD copied some of it.

(The entire Dyna line was born on the street)
Big frame and motor, sportster forks = DYNA.

And, I do believe you are correct in saying -
"replaced with modern-retro-flowing something.....".

Tired of typing, you are right.

I also like the way the yellow bike is built with the fender sticking up the way it does. I think I should consider doing that with my duckbill fender on the Sportster project.?

Does the kit include the tail light mount or is it the same (as the stock SuperGlide's). What about the license plate mount?

Maybe it's just me but doesn't the "Fat Bob" look like a flat black Wide Glide with a few cheap custom bits designed to make it look more modern? Get rid of the dual headlights, which I like by the way, the Fat boy front wheel and the drag bars and what have you got?
