It don’t seem it but 2009 = 15 year old bike. All the accessories we love them, we need some to make our selves comfortable, but they don’t mean **** for value.
if I was to ask my local independent, he would probably be 3-5 thousand range have cash and be flipping it in a week for more, but they get actual people in the shop not the 100 scammers you get online.
i bought an 2015 Dyna switchback from a major wholesaler locally for 6500.

I’m kinda addicted to watching local Facebook market every morning… it’s sad if your a seller. I see some really nice Twinkies listed between $4500 to $8,000 and some of them have been listed 6 months. Others I only see for like a day or two. Not to hurt or rub salt in the wound, but I’ve seen really nice low miledge Road King, Glides.. go for as little as $3,000 loaded with all the goodies. I saw a 1990 FXR with 3800 miles pop up for $3000 and that sold same day. There are so many deals dirt cheap that go in 1-2 days that the ones listed for months just don’t move. People look at all these bikes listed and think they’ve priced there’s in line… but the majority don’t sell. It’s the deals that move.
I bought my 98 Road king for like small change. I know it’s only worth small coin if I sold it, but I’m ok with that. I see low miledge 2000’s 1200 Sportsters go for $1500-$2500. Those are the ones that actually sell. Sure you see lots listed at $4000-$6000 but they are also listed for months and months.
I saw a 97 Softail with tastefull aftermarket gas tanks, nice wheels and pipes, painted pretty sharp go for $2,000. I saw a Nightster go for $4500… it’s addicting to see the deals. People are dumping recreational stuff right now.

Looks like to OP posted this thread one month ago.
Is the bike still for sale?
There may be two "take aways" from this thread are:
1) Best advice, lower the price by $500 each month until sold.
2) OP said he'll keep it (see post # 29) as there may be hesitation to lower the price any further.
FWIW, inflation does not seem to be reflected in this particular bike sale; it is depreciating still. Yes disposable income may be limited. Yes it may be a buyers market.
Another co-member wrote, "be glad it is not a boat" LOL. I dread what I would be offered for my Sportster

From the sound of some of your replies you aren't budging on your price ... The old adage 'There is an a$$ for every seat" may apply ... You haven't found one yet ... You can keep looking or realize that the frustration involved isn't worth the time and money ... Take what you can get ( if have actually received an offer ) and use the money for other enjoyments ... GLWS
