Speedo Problems
I was headed back to work on my 02 lowrider and noticed the speedo did not go over 35 MPH when I was probably doing 70. I town it just hovered around 20 regardless ifI was going 10 or 30. When I rode it eariler in the day it worked fine. Anyone run across this?? Something just need cleaned?
Thanks,

RE: Speedo Problems
I've heard of others having this problem. HD says to stop the engine with the kill switch on the handle bar and then turn off the ignition switch and to turn on the ignition switch first then the handle bar switch to run. This is suppose to keep electrical surges to the electrical components (ie speedometer) at a minimum. I have done this with mine for the past two years and 25,000 miles and have had no speedo problems. My buddy had the speedo problem with his 04 sportster. He would stop, turn it off then restart it and it would work fine the rest of the ride.
